ITS BEEN A WHILE....

I know its been months since I updated this thing, so sorry for the delay, things have just been so busy! We just finished up Max's big boy room this past weekend and I figured what a great time to update and post some pics of the finished project! The pics aren't the greatest because they were taken by my phone but you can still see them pretty well. Max loves his new bed! He is all about cars, trucks, trains and airplanes so this theme was perfect! The second he saw it he started jumping up and down saying my big boy room, my big boy bed, yay!!!! It was super cute!
Things are going good, just same ole stuff going on. Max is getting to be so big and is really chatting up a storm. He has his moments when he wants to tell me no and throw himself on the floor, but for the most part he is a really good boy. We just enrolled him in "toddler time" with our local activities center and man did he love it! Today was our first day to go and they had a big bounce house with balls and mats and mini trampolines and huge building blocks all set up for the toddlers to play with. He loved it! They also offer other classes there such as music and dance and gymnastics classes and sports classes, so I think we may be looking into that a little later. Well its time for me to do some work and then hit the hay, let me know what you think of the new room!

Choo Choo Ride

Well this past Sunday Max went on his first Train ride! Nick's parents had some tickets to ride the train from Alliance Area to Gainesville and then back. They only had 4 tickets at the time so Nick, his mom and dad and Max all went. I was sad I missed it, but he had such a blast! I decided to go visit my parents for the day, and while it was nice to get away for a few hours, I still was really sad I missed it. Max LOVED it. He loves trains! He did so well considering he was on it for 2.5 hours. They handed out little conductor hats and goldfish and rice krispies and fruit roll ups. Needless to say, both my boys were in heaven!

New Things Max can do!

Well in the past few weeks Max has learned to count to ten all by himself! He says one, two, free, pour, pive, six, eben, eight, nine, ten, yaaayy!!! It is sooo cute! I will get a video and post it soon. He also has learned to spell his name and if you ask him how old he is he says "I two"...So stinkin cute! He is my biggest helper, he loves to help me do laundry! Man if he catches me doing it without him he gets very upset! LOL. He loves to give hugs and kisses and say I love you! He is such a sweet boy. He has his moments of getting upset when things don't go his way too! He always says Thank you and knows just the right time to say it. He knows all his letters and what they look like, we are working on singing them in order now. He knows his basic colors, red, blue, yellow, green, orange, pink, purple. He also knows what each number (1 to 10) is and looks like. We have this baby organics first 100 words books with pictures and words, he can tell you what every picture is! It really amazes me how much he can say and understand. Every night his daddy puts him to bed and he says goodnight to everyone he knows, he goes down the list of people, its so sweet! He currently has a runny nose and the sneezes, poor guy, he gets those allergies from me. Once he gets over that we will go to the dr for his 2 year check up a little late, and Ill post his stats as soon as I know. Hes such a big boy and so smart for his age! Even the photographer that took his pic commented on how smart he was cause of how much he knew, she said she had a 3 year old son who didnt know half the things he did. (sorry I have to brag on him a little bit) I just love him so much and am so proud of him! I can't believe how fast these 2 years have gone by! Well off to bed...Have a great night!

MAX'S 2ND BDAY PARTY!

Hey guys,

Sorry its been awhile...Its been crazy around here with the birthday party and other things going on. I wanted to take a minute to say thank you to everyone who came and celebrated Maxs 2nd birthday with us. We had a blast! Those of you who couldn't make it were missed!

He had such a blast! We ended up doing a choo choo train theme...He loves trains! We rented a train bounce house, that was his favorite part of the whole day! He jumped and jumped and jumped. Needless to say he slept soooooooooooooooooooooo good that night! Haha!

We had such a great day. We had tons of food, fun, family and friends. We are so blessed to be surrounded by so many friends and family that loves us and our son! Thanks again for everything. Max got so many gifts. He got things for his new room, which we are in the process of working on. I will post pics once we are finished. He got lots of new toys and clothes. That kid is growing so fast, I swear he wears a new size shoe every other month! My parents bought him a big train table that came with a train set and everything. He loves it!!!!!! BYE BYE BINKY!!

WELL ITS BEEN OVER A WEEK AND NO BINKY!! WAHOOOOO!!! I ALWAYS SAID THAT I WAS GOING TO TAKE IT AWAY BEFORE HE TURNED 2. WELL WE STARTED BY ONLY GIVING IT TO HIM AT NIGHT AND FOR NAPS. THEN ONE NIGHT WE JUST DIDNT GIVE IT TO HIM, AND SURPRISINGLY HE DIDN'T WAKE UP CRYING FOR IT. SO THEN WE JUST DECIDED BYE BYE FOR GOOD. ONE DAY LAST WEEK HE WAS REALLY FUSY SO I GAVE IN AND OFFERED IT TO HIM AND TO MY SURPRISE HE HANDED IT BACK TO ME AND SAID "NO WAY". I WAS SHOCKED! I KEPT TELLING HIM BEFORE THAT BINKYS WERE YUCKY AND FOR BABIES AND THAT HE WAS A BIG BOY! WELL THE OTHER DAY HE SAID "NO BINKY FOR BABIES" IT WAS SO CUTE! IT REALLY IS AMAZING HOW FAST THEY CATCH ON AND SOMETIMES I MEAN SOMETIMES ACTUALLY LISTEN TO WHAT YOU SAY. LOL.

I WOULD ALWAYS THINK TO MYSELF OH I DONT WANT THE DAY TO COME WHEN WE TAKE IT AWAY, BUT TO MY SURPRISE IT WAS SO MUCH EASIER THAN I EVER THOUGHT! SO THOSE PARENTS OF YOU OUT THERE IN THE SAME BOAT, DONT WORRY, THERE IS HOPE! 

Heathers 25th Birthday!

Well this past weekend we went out to celebrate my best friends birthday. We went for Sushi and drinks at My Martini, it was so good! Then we went for drinks after at Dukes. We had a great time. Its always nice to get out of the house and have some fun and remember what its like to stay out late and not worry about getting home and getting Max into bed. My parents kept him overnight for us so we could go out and have some fun! Oh boy did we! Heather and I have started a tradition where we get eachother a birthday cake every year. Our friend Heidi is so talented and makes some of the most beautiful and delicious cakes ever! So if you need a cake let me know, she is awesome! Here are some pics from this weekend and the cake! Fun Time At the Park

Hey guys,

Well its been a few weeks since I posted a blog and Im a little behind on uploading my pics.

This is a pic of Max at the park a few weeks ago. He had such a great time! Our Friends, The Stones joined us and we had a great time! Max was such a big boy, he didnt want any help! He wanted to climb the stairs himself and go down the slide all by himself. He is growing up to be such a big boy so fast! We have been so lucky to have several beautiful days here lately so we have been taking advantage of them! We have been to the park several times, and gone to feed the duckies! Although he was more interested in the golden retriever that was swimming around in the pond looking for his stick. He kept saying "Hi Doggie!" He is saying so much lately. He can actually talk in sentences and make sense now! He loves to say "bless you mommy" every time I sneeze, its the cutest thing ever! Its amazing how much he remembers and learns everyday. I have started the party planning for his 2nd birthday party which will be April 25th! Its going to be so much fun! I can't believe how fast my baby is growing.

Just today he opened the front door and proceeded to let himself outside! Hes known how to open the front door and look out but hes never known how to unlock the glass door and open it to go outside, well that all changed today! So needless to say that Nick stopped at Lowe's on his way home from work and bought some locks to install on all our doors, so now he can't escape! I thought I had a little while before we had to worry about that, man was I wrong! He is such a monkey. Climbing on everything and getting into all kinds of stuff. Although this job is the toughest one I've ever had, no other job has been so rewarding and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world! I am so lucky and blessed to have such a wonderful family, I love my boys!

He's Almost 2!

really can't believe how fast the time goes. Everyone tells you that and you just think ya, sure, ok, whatever, but really it does fly by. It seems like just yesterday I was pregnant with him, and now he's going to be turning next month! I have started trying to think of ideas for his birthday party and get things planned but Im having a tough time making a decision on a theme. He loves Cars and Trucks and Tractors right now, so I'm thinking I may go with a Truck Theme. We are thinking of renting a big bounce house for him and his friends, that should be fun! Its amazing how much he has learned in the past few weeks. It seems like I only tell him something once and he remembers it! Man how I wish my brained worked that way still, LOL! I forget things that happened yesterday. He knows all his letters and can point them out to you, he has learned some of his numbers 1-10. He says Thank you when you give him something, and he always says "I love you" although it sounds more like "Wuv Yu" its so sweet. He tries to repeat anything you tell him, somethings sound really good and others not so much. He calls our dog Wrinkles, "tenkles". He knows alot of his animal sounds and can recognize most of them. Im just so proud of him and what he has learned in the past 2 years. Well enough for now, gotta start doing some work. I have posted his newborn pic so you can see how much he's grown! I will post his 2 year old pics soon when we have them done. Enjoy!

Boo Boos, Boo Boos and more Boo Boos

Well yesterday Max was Mr. Clumsy! He fell 3 times and got 3 different Boo Boos. It all started when we were playing outside and he trip and fell on the concrete and scraped his chin! That was a big ouch....Then he was playing inside with his cars and he fell and hit his cheek on his car and scraped the side of his face. Then right before bed time he was looking under my bed for the dog and he hit his head on the bottom side of the bed. Man, what a day for us! I was so worried..Sometimes I think its more stressful as a mom than it was for him. I kept checking on him last night to make sure he was ok, and of course he was fine and slept all night long with out a peep! The froggie really has been a huge help, he has been going right down for bed and naps in his own bed with froggie like a big boy! I am so proud!  Well anyway, I am to my grandmas for the night, I have a really early Dr. Appt in Irving so its easier to stay there, have a good night!

Froggie!

Well Max has a new best friend and his name is Froggie! Last night Nick, Max and I went to Wal-Mart and Max spotted this huge basket of Valentines stuffed animals and wanted this huge green frog. So we ended up letting him have it, but he grabbed onto him and cuddled him all the way through the store and was hugging and giving him kisses! IT was so cute. So we then got home put all the groceries and things away, got Max bathed and all ready for bed. He then grabbed his froggie and got in his bed, cuddled right up to him and went right to sleep! Wow! For those of you that know our routine we usually have to rock Max get him really sleepy then put him down. But with Froggie he just climbed right in and went right to sleep all his own! I was really amazed when he proceeded to do the same thing tonight. It was so sweet and I am so relived that now maybe he will continue on this pattern. I just can't believe how fast and quickly he is growing. Its amazing all the new words he says and repeats everyday. I really have had to watch what I have been saying...LOL! Fun Weekend

Well our weekend was filled with fun! Friday night we just stayed home and I made tacos and we spend some family time together playing and reading to Max. Then Saturday afternoon the Taylors came over with their 2 boys and we talked and watched the boys play. Hayden is 2 1/2 and Carson is turning 1 next month. Max loves to play with them both, they are his best buddies! Then we grilled burgers and dogs and Dan and Brandy and Trent and Pati (our neighbors and good friends) came over and joined us. It was a fun time! Then Rachel and I got to have a girls night and went and watched Bride Wars! Oh my goodness, it was soooo cute! We went to studio movie grill and had a few drinks and a delicious dessert! The Taylors currently live in North Arlington so they just stayed the night that night. While Rachel and I were at the movies all the boys stayed here and played with their daddies! It was nice to get out of the house for a bit and have some "girlfriend" time. That movie is a must see for a girls night! Then we woke up on Sunday morning and went and had breakfast at our favorite little cafe....Joe's Coffee Shop! It was so yummy! I watched all 3 boys while Rachel and Ryan went house hunting with their realtor. They ended up putting a bid on a house out here in South Arlington and got it!! Even though they won't move in until June I am so excited that they will be just 10 minutes up the road, so now the boys will have even more play dates! Well Nick is out of town tonight and my brother came over to stay with us. We went and ate dinner at Texas Roadhouse...Yummy! The weather is supposed to be pretty bad tonight and tomorrow so he is hoping he will not have to go into work tomorrow! I Hope so...I enjoy the company! I am so proud of my brother. He had the lap band surgery done 6 months ago and has lost an amazing 100 pounds! Well off here and onto bed now! Ill post more soon......I have included a pic of Max and his buddies! Enjoy. 

Man how the time flies......

I really can't believe how fast the time goes...I mean it really just seemed like yesterday Max was a newborn, and man I thought he was alot to handle then...Wow, if I only knew then what I know now. LOL! He is going non stop now! He is in the climbing stage big time. We had to move our couch because he kept climbing on the top part and onto the bar...YIKES! An accident waiting to happen. He also has been climbing up on our dining room table chairs and onto the table. So Nick finally installed our gate where we can block him off and he can only be in his toy room area and I can actually cook and get things done without having to worry about him climbing up the table. He is definitely  starting those terrible 2 years, where everything is...NO! But even though we are going through this stage now, he is also a big helper! He loves to help mommy empty the dishwasher and load the laundry and fold and put it away, I don't know how I did it before without my little helper! He loves wearing hats, everytime he puts one on he says "Cool Dude"! He is really a sweet boy too, he says "Wuv Wu" and gives big hugs and kisses! He can say so many words now, even though some don't sound as clear as others he can pretty much try to say anything you ask him. My favorite thing he is doing right now is "SHEW SHEW" Every time he "toots" he looks at me and smiles and says "SHEW SHEW"...........hahahha! Its so cute! He is totally all boy! I'm not sure how exactly he picked that up but he did. I just can't believe how fast the time goes, he is growing up so fast! 

Max went Tee Tee!

Man I just can't believe how fast my little man is growing up. When people tell you that you think, ya whatever, but man its soooo true! It seems to just fly by! I swear I just had him yesterday and to think he is going to be 2 in a few months is just crazy!  Well we bought Max a little potty about a week ago and set it up and let him play around with it. The book I've been reading says to set it up in their play area and let them "get used to it" so thats what we did. We also decorated it with SpongeBob stickers and tried to get him familiar with it so he's not scared of it. We have been having him sit on it every night before bath time telling him what to do and showing him. Well guess what?? After about a week of doing that, he finally TEE TEED in it tonight!!!!! WE are sooo proud! I know its just the beginning but its so amazing how fast they really do learn! So we will keep practicing and hopefully after to long he will start telling us when he needs to go. 

Christmas 20008

Well Christmas this year was pretty awesome! It was Max's second Christmas and so much more fun! He finally got the hang of opening the gifts by himself, but the minute he opened one that was a toy he wanted you to stop and put it together right then and there. He got so many things! He got tons of clothes and shoes and way to many toys! His favorite toys are his car and his new train set! He also loves books, especially ones with cars and trucks. He is such a boy! He is growing so fast, it seems like everyday he has a new word, so I really have to watch what I say. He is so smart, he knows how to say all the letters of the alphabet and he knows what each letter looks like, now we are working on singing them in order! Ill post some video soon. It seemed like the holidays just flew by! I actually baked a bunch of cookies and pies this year, I was so proud of myself! A new year has begun and I have so many things to look forward too, keep reading and you'll find out! 

I finally joined!

Well I finally took the time to create this account and profile and joined the blogging world! I have a myspace and facebook and update those pages all the time. I have been meaning to sign up for a while now and I finally broke down and did it!
